Hey y'all,
My name is Andre Kachkine, I'm 21 years old and I love everything Mountain Bike related! I have over 7 years of wrenching behind my back and have been racing Mountain Bikes since 2015. I started Andre Bike Shop in parallel to college as a means to help tackle tuition expenses. Since then, I've finished up my Undergraduate degree at UTSA and have continued running the shop as a fulfilling part time job that benefits the Austin cycling community. When Covid broke out, all local shops got backlogged with uncertain turnaround times. I saw this as an opportunity to put my wrenching experience to use and promoted a 24 hour turnaround on all repairs. Three years later, and I'm thrilled to say that I've held true to this promise and have worked with over 2000 riders in the Austin area! Outside of the shop, I'm an adrenaline junky who loves to ride bikes, climb rocks and spend time outdoors. I'm also a Latin dance instructor and been playing guitar for over 16 years! Fun fact: my XC racing product was featured on the Berm Peak Express YouTube channel! Andre Kachkine, Owner Update: the shop has now been closed down and I'm looking for the next chapter in my career. This has been a remarkable learning and growth opportunity in business; but at some point both of those platued and led me to look for something new.
